We caught up with Brooklyn, who reflected on what authenticity means to her in an industry that often demands you to be constantly seen. “What I cherish the most, I try to keep private,” she shared with Women for the Culture. “What keeps me in a creative space is really just my supporters, my family, my team... they keep me going and motivated.”

At just 20 years old, Brooklyn has built a huge following across multiple platforms such as Instagram, Twitch, Youtube, and TikTok. Although she first appeared on her brother Deshae’s YouTube channel, she quickly became a star on her own due to her bubbly personality. Her brand is all about being confident, walking in your purpose, and remaining authentic. When asked about what kind of woman she’s becoming, she didn’t hesitate to say, “There’s a lot of power in being a woman. Not everybody gets to be called that. I’m [also] a child of God, and being myself is always going to be my priority.”

Last year, Brooklyn hosted a sub-a-thon on Twitch that was a 25 day streaming event where she gained 10,000 subscribers and averaged 13,000 views per stream. This experience has become a defining moment in her career. Brooklyn has proved that she can and will show up for her community, and has made it clear that the love she receives in return means everything. “Just support me,” she said.
