Dee-Vine — The essence of being the biggest star in the room. A spiritual, but lively being who commands presence through bright energy. She is indeed divine.

Florida’s very own hip-hop/rap artist DeeVine, the Hoochie Fairy made a stop in New York City showcasing her talents at her listening party this past weekend surrounded by Spiritual Hoochies (her fans), loved ones, and friends. The room was so intimate. When guests entered the venue, they were greeted with smiles and champagne. The tables were decorated with flowers and candles. The mood was set so perfectly. Awaiting her arrival, DeeVine walked into the room with long braids covered with shelled beads, baggy cargo pants, a long sleeve rose jacket with denim heels. Guests screamed in excitement upon her entrance. She performed songs from her latest album “Gift of G.A.B.B” starting with “The Gift,” which introduced who she was as an artist. She says, “I’m an elevation, btch, I’m in the skies. Turn a broke btch to a milli, watch the crypto rise.”
DeeVine took full control of her space, being intentional with her words and how she managed the crowd. As the night continued, guests rapped and danced along to their favorite songs hyping DeeVine up during each set. After a few songs, DeeVine did an outfit change, coming out in a beautiful sage green corset top with a matching ruffled skirt. DeeVine took her time explaining to guests what this moment meant to her. Sharing this special day with her dad, DeeVine shared not only did he travel from her hometown to see her perform at a showcase, it was also his birthday. She explained how she felt so blessed to not only be surrounded by people with whom she has shared different experiences, but to be performing in Times Square.
She touched on the importance of sharing her journey with her fans so they can see the dedication that she has put forth in her craft. Once the show ended, VIP guests were invited to chat and take pictures with DeeVine in the VIP room. Guests were given goodie bags that included a keychain that they scan to stay connected to the Hoochie Fairy through new music releases, posts, check-ins, and more. I was able to interview DeeVine**,** learning more about her vision and love for music.
Q: Where does DeeVine come from? Is that your real name?
DeeVine: “No, but yes. It comes from as a kid my dad he would always tell me, like, he wouldalways tell— nurture the god-like within me by calling me that, by telling me that I’m a goddess,I’m a queen... all these things and it just stuck with me.”
Q: So do you feel like you speak through your divine in your music? How do you develop that to your fans?
DeeVine: “1000%! I think naturally when you just, when you’ve just cultivated that within yourself then you don’t have to force it. It just happens like that. And I think I’ve gotten to a point in my journey that now it just happens like that because it’s a part of my language, it’s part of my lifestyle, it’s part of my current blueprint that I had to unlearn and relearn... and remember.”
The night ended with a champagne toast and everyone cheering DeeVine on for her great work. DeeVine truly left a remarkable impression on everyone that night. Smiles filled the room and the rest of the night ended with a turn-up!
