ISSA HOUR! Insecure is set to return to HBO next year

If you’re like me and are dying for the season 4 premiere of Insecure, keep waiting. The wait may not be over just yet but there is a silver lining. Yvonne Orji, who plays the role of Issa's hot-mess best friend 'Molly' posted a picture of her script for a table read. Fellow cast members also posted that yesterday was the first day of shooting and production is in full swing.

Since the show's first season premiere back in 2016, we've all gotten use to a very Insecure summer as the show typically airs during the summer months, however, Issa Rae's boss moves this year has lead to the show being pushed back.

First hitting the big screen in the movie 'Little' starring Marsai Martin and Regina Hall and now being the Executive Producer of HBO's new sketch comedy A Black Lady Sketch Show. It would be selfish of us not to understand Insecure's back seat.

However, it looks as though there could be one major change to the show this season that could make the wait worth wild. Issa Rae took to social media to post a photo of the four Insecure besties with the caption:

“YOU BETTER MAKE IT A HOUR”

Hopefully indicating that Insecure has made our dreams come true by going from being a half hour to a full hour!

For 3 seasons straight, we have blinked and before we knew it 30 minutes were up and we were left with unanswered questions that we had to wait a week to get the answers to.

It’s very reassuring to know that Issa is cooking up some new messes during this gap year as we anticipate the arrival of baby Dubois.

While no official date for the season has been announced, Insecure is set to return to HBO next year.
