Last Sunday marked another unforgettable moment for women entrepreneurs—particularly the dynamic Black women who are literally nourishing our communities. With an event bursting with flavor, energy, and empowerment, the second Queens of the Food & Beverage Scene gathering reminded everyone why representation, ownership, and community matter.
From thirst-quenching Black-owned vendors to mouthwatering eateries, bakeries, and bars, this celebration served up more than just delicious bites. It was a full-course experience for the mind, body, and soul. Every corner of the room was filled with passionate creators offering everything your taste buds could imagine—proving once again that Black women are at the forefront of culinary creativity and innovation.
But it didn’t stop there.
The event featured two powerful conversations that sparked curiosity and gave deep insight into the food and beverage industry, with women-led businesses leading the way in shifting the narrative. These discussions weren’t just about being in the room—they were about claiming the seat at the table and making sure the menu reflects our stories, our culture, and our power.
And let’s not forget the Fits!
The fashion was just as much a focal point in the room as the food. Let’s just say—the fits were fitting! Guests didn’t just come to eat—they came to Slay.
At the helm of this movement is none other than Renae Bluitt—known on social as @iamrenaebluitt—the visionary behind it all. With her second successful Queens event under her belt, Renae is the epitome of “doing the work and looking good while doing it.” As the Executive Producer of She Did That., the groundbreaking documentary that premiered on Netflix in 2020 and now streams on Amazon Prime Video, Renae has been telling the stories of Black women entrepreneurs with authenticity and pride. A true queen in every sense, she continues to use her platform to uplift, empower, and inspire.

This event was a reminder that supporting women-led, owned, and operated businesses isn’t just a trend—it’s a movement. And while entrepreneurship is no easy path, with the kind of love and community witnessed in that room, there’s no limit to what we can build together.

So let’s keep showing up. Let’s keep supporting. And let’s continue to toast to the women who are building legacies—one dish, one drink, and one dream at a time.
Cheers to the Queens.
