"Don't let your financial freedom slip away." Have you ever considered losing it?
Has today's societal climate made you think about how you can make more informed and smarter choices with your money? How can you get out of debt? Improve your credit score? Save towards retirement? Or turn your idea into a lucrative business?
In the wake of the election, many Black women are taking this time to focus on stacking money and building a brighter future—not only for their retirement years but also for creating generational wealth for their children.
Self-made multimillionaire Dominique Broadway attended the HBCU Honors blue carpet and shared advice with Women for the Culture viewers about where to start when building more capital. Dominique said, "So most importantly, don't just save it; make sure you're investing as well. ... Black women, this is the time we need to be investing because having money is going to be the easiest way to have freedom, options, and choices."
If you're anything like me, having visuals or step-by-step instructions is a must-have. Dominique has us covered with her bestselling book The Wealth Decision and an upcoming webinar, "How to Dominate the Stock Market in 2025," on December 5.
Her final piece of advice for aspiring investors was to "pick a couple of stocks (companies you already own) and start investing from there."
Tune in to celebrate Black excellence at the HBCU Honors on Sunday, December 1, at 8 p.m. ET on BET.
