[Backstory:]
My parents separated when I was almost 3years old.
My dad passed by 7years old. Even though my parents didn’t have a good marriage, their friendship was restored when he was on his death bed….FORGIVENESS & HEALING
Mom never shared what happened, to protect us. But, Pops spoke his Truth. Also, I found out.
Your story maybe different but as long as you’re Alive. Know this —— 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞.
It’s on you to 𝙲𝙷𝙾𝙾𝚂𝙴 𝚃𝙾 𝙱𝚁𝙴𝙰𝙺 𝙱𝙰𝙳 𝙲𝚈𝙲𝙻𝙴𝚂. You can’t do it alone. We all need the help of God not human opinions framed by hurt.
Now, as a WIFE I truly appreciate the value of my God-fearing, meek & noble King . His ability to show up & walk in His purpose as my companion-friend-husband-protector-lover-confidant…..has been a healing balm to my life on so many levels. Not just a partner, he’s above & beyond that, in this continuous work of loving & living.
He re-echoes, “Forgive….be an example of Christ-likeness”
I & Momma have come a long way to our love journey. My Role as a wife has played a big part in the compassion that we have built over the past year. I’m grateful for her love- HER GIFT My mother’s labor pains brought me forth, so that I can enjoy the fruits of her prayers.
I celebrate my birthday in honor of her.
I am truly the daughter of my African mother who raised me to be the woman that my daughter can emulate.
