I'll just jump out there and say that the resonating theme for 2018 has definitely got to be "Living Your Best Life".Now, I don't know about you but I can't scroll through the 'gram without seeing somebody talk about living their best life all day every day. Just take a look at the IG hashtag #livingmybestlife. It has approximately 939,694 posts alone. If that isn't any indicator of how many people are (or at least want to be) living their best lives then I don't know what is!
Are we all not trying to simply be great and live a life we love? Your best life is not something in the future you need to wait on. It doesn't start when you get the perfect job, the perfect car, the perfect relationship etc. Don't let the hype fool you! Your best life has nothing to do with any of that. No matter what anyone tells you, your best life is the one you're living right now because that's the one you have. In the words of J. Cole, "No such thing as a life that's better than yours."
Your best life starts the moment you start appreciating everything you have and everything you are. It starts when you decide to live every day doing your best and being your best even as you are building for the future.
That means if you have a job, then you sashay into that workplace everyday with the attitude of being the best employee you can be. It also helps to take things day by day. Show up every single day to do your best and be your best...in all capacities. That is living your best life.
