If suspense and mystery have always been a part of your life from being a pesky kid watching Scooby-Doo and the gang, to sitting in bed with the covers over your head solving cases with The Boxcar Children and Nancy Drew, and into adulthood…
If, like me, you were privileged enough to attend the School of Annalise Keating, earning your bachelor’s degree under Jack Stewart and your doctoral degree under Olivia Pope, then you already know you’re the best at what you do.
OWN for the Holidays has you covered with "Very Merry Mystery."

"Very Merry Mystery," starring Ashleigh Monique Murray and Tristan Mack Wilds, follows the story of hairstylist Bea and her detective boyfriend Troy as they navigate both their careers and their relationship.
Bea (Ashleigh Monique Murray) is a talented hairstylist who also happens to be a perfectionist, and a "part-time detective" in her free time. She’s struggling to maintain the “perfect” relationship with her detective boyfriend Troy (Tristan Mack Wilds), who is still early in his career, eager to prove himself, but she's also juggling a fragile relationship with a well meaning but boundary crossing mother whose intentions may come from love.

Things take a turn when Bea is invited to a Christmas murder mystery party by one of her clients who also happens to be the town’s Scrooge. In an attempt to right her wrongs after causing chaos for several people close to her, she hosts the event…until (**spoiler alert**) the party has a "ruh-roh" moment and the Scrooge actually goes missing.
Troy is called to the scene to investigate the disappearance. While it’s not exactly how Bea envisioned spending time together, two heads are better than one when solving a mystery especially with Bea’s attention to detail and Troy’s determination working side by side.

If mystery with a sprinkle of Christmas spirit is your vibe this holiday season, "Very Merry Mystery" deserves a spot in your Christmas rotation. Plus, it gives you a fun break from some of our more serious cases 😉.
