Fans gathered at Rolling Out headquarters Sunday evening for the unveiling of Dess Dior’s new cover. It didn’t feel like a standard industry event; supporters had the opportunity for an intimate gathering to listen to her new EP, “Take Notes,” which recently dropped.

The event featured an open Q&A session providing insight into her journey with the project. The atmosphere was filled with love, excitement and "real Atlanta vibes."
“I was very intentional with this project and the title ‘Take Notes’ because I feel like over the past year, I’ve been in a very transitional stage of my life,” Dior said.

As tracks played throughout the room, it became clear that “Take Notes” is a project that defines a "reflection era." When asked which song describes her currently, she replied without hesitation: “Come Correct.” She shared how she is setting the tone for herself and her desires, no longer afraid to set boundaries in her own life.
That intention was evident throughout the EP. The project is versatile, blending up-tempo tracks and slower melodies that showcase her vulnerability. While listeners can hear Dior’s evolution as an artist, fans also gained insight into why this growth was necessary.
Dior shared how she has leaned into her confidence more than ever. Previously, she often had many people in the studio with her; now, she has entered a stage where her creative space is hers alone. Dior explained she is exploring her sound and trusting her voice, noting that outside critiques of her music are no longer needed.
“I’m very intentional with what I say and put into the world,” Dior said.

Known as a motivational artist for her audience, Dior has been "taking notes" and bringing listeners along for the journey. She expressed that vulnerability was once a challenge, as she is not one to wear her heart on her sleeve. However, this project dives into the layers of Dior as a person first, then an artist.
“Take Notes” isn’t about proving anything to anyone. It is about honoring growth through life’s transitions, slowing down and letting the music speak for itself. For listeners willing to really hear it, Dior made it clear: The message is already there. You just have to listen.
